Authors are required to upload a pre-recorded video for all poster and lecture presentations.

Deadline for poster videos: Thursday, August 10
Deadline for lecture videos: Wednesday, August 23

A video upload is required for all presenters (virtual and in-person). In addition to playing the videos onsite for virtual presenters, the videos will be used for on-demand viewing by registered delegates for 30 days post-conference, backups for last-minute speaker changes to virtual and, subject to author discretion, for permanent access in the UFFC Archives.

IUS will take place as a hybrid conference. In-person presentation is highly encouraged if any authors from the paper are able to attend. For virtual presenters, the pre-recorded videos will be played back for in-person attendees. Live Q&A opportunities for virtual presenters are being determined and will be finalized soon.

Instructions for Video Recording

Our recommended approach to recording a compatible video from the content displayed on your computer screen and voice recording via the computer microphone is to record the presentation using Zoom, available to users on most platforms and in most countries.

Instructions for recording your presentation with Zoom: https://ieeetv.ieee.org/ieeetv-specials/recording-your-presentation-with-zoom

Instructions for recording your presentation with PowerPoint:

For authors who are unable to access Zoom for free, you may use the free software OBS, which allows also to capture simultaneously yourself while speaking and your slides: https://obsproject.com/

Guidelines for preparing your video:

Duration (Regular Lecture Presentations): 12 minutes max
Duration (Poster Presentations): 3 minutes max
Duration (Invited): 25 minutes max
File size: 300MB max
Video file format: mp4
Dimensions: Minimum height 720 pixels, aspect ratio: 16:9

Presentations not received by the deadline will be considered a no-show and will be removed from the conference program. Submission links will be sent out to authors by mid-July in order to upload videos, slides/posters, and the consent form.

Consent Form

Authors must submit this release form so that IUS can make available your presentation during and after the conference. This is required due to the hybrid format of the conference. You will be able to upload the form along with your video presentation.
